​We try our best to keep program costs at their lowest. Below is an explanation of all the program costs.

Flight

Depending on where you fly in from, flights can vary. We do our best to help facilitate all of your flight information.

Travel

After your flight has been situated, you’ll probably still have to travel a little ways to get to where we are in Austria. This is normally accomplished by train.

Trips

Depending on your length of participation in the program, we may be taking day trips to various sites around Europe.

General Expense

The rest of your tuition goes towards the general expense of the program. This includes food and lodging.

What is summer of service?
​The “Summer of Service” program was developed to explore culture, encounter Jesus, and to Experience Jesus. We do that by committing to an amount of time in Austria and help the full-time staff during summer months. Students help meet the needs of conference guests by serving in various departments of practical service; and in doing so learn more about our Savior, Jesus Christ. “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Additionally students participate in a daily scripture reading plan; weekday devotions; weekly bible studies, intercessory prayer, sermon discussion, and worship sessions.
What does the Summer of Service cost include?
Summer of Service cost is 300€ (100€ for every month started). This will cover food and lodging, but will not cover your plane ticket, travel expenses and trips or events that we do as a team.
How Much Money SHould I Bring?
​That’s really up to you! The program is based off of rates that should accommodate all of the participant’s immediate needs. Lodging, food, transportation and as well as our events and trips. However, it doesn’t allot if you choose to buy souvenirs, or if you choose to buy coffee or other snacks outside of the provided meals.
What is schloss heroldeck & what is the castle?
Schloss Heroldeck was the name given to the castle by it’s previous owners. When Calvary Chapel acquired the property, we decided to keep an homage to it’s roots and leave it’s name as it was. Schloss literally translates to castle and Heroldeck refers to the castle’s original owners son, thus, being Castle of Heroldeck. This is why the conference center is referred to as a castle.
How long is summer of service?
Summer of Service extends over the period of June 1st, 2022 to August 30th, 2022. We ask that participants commit to being in the program for as short as month, but for as long as 3 months. We are willing to receive applicants with flexible commitments, so please don’t feel afraid to apply if you’re only available for a few weeks. We will consider every applicant prayerfully.
Do we need to bring our own bedding?
Nope! Please travel light and we’ll provide the bedding for you.
